About the initiative
Freedom is not only history. It is a commitment.
The nationwide W Jak Wolność initiative was founded in 2023 to preserve the memory of people who fought for a free Poland. Its core is practical work at the graves of heroes and historical education.
The project is developing towards an officially registered association. Until registration is completed, the website clearly presents its organisational status, funding sources and planned activities.

1st edition
The idea begins with the first shared action
W Jak Wolność is founded. A small group begins working at the graves of heroes and builds the foundation of a community centred on historical remembrance.

What is happening
Our flags have reached Częstochowa!
Our flags, originally placed at the Powązki Military Cemetery in Warsaw, have now reached Częstochowa, where young people used them to honour soldiers buried there. Stories like this show that “W jak Wolność” is beginning to grow beyond Warsaw and next year, we plan to bring the campaign to Częstochowa as well.

Nicola Redlińska
Nicola Redlińska - founder and initiator of the “W Jak Wolność” campaign, dedicated to preserving the memory of the heroes of Polish history and places of remembrance. She has been recognized, among other distinctions, with the “Dumni z Powstańców” (“Proud of the Insurgents”) award and the Silver Honorary Badge of IOWVM.
